ACCOUNTANT / CPA

Full-Time — Accounting Office We are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Accountant or CPA to join our busy accounting office. This is a full-time position requiring a consistent 40-hour work week year-round. We work with a wide variety of businesses and individuals and handle a variety of accounting, tax, payroll, and financial matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual and business income tax preparation Bookkeeping and financial statement preparation Payroll processing and payroll-related matters Sales tax preparation and filing Bank reconciliations, general ledger work, and journal entries Accounts payable and accounts receivable Financial reports and business/individual projections Tax planning and research Answering client accounting and tax questions Direct client communication Other accounting and tax-related duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Accountant or CPA with relevant accounting/public accounting experience Good understanding of income taxes and accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines Able to work independently and as part of a team Professional and comfortable communicating with clients Punctual, dependable, and reliable Able to consistently work 40 hours per week, year-round Able to work efficiently in a busy environment, particularly during tax season

COMPUTER & TECHNOLOGY

Must be proficient in: Microsoft Word & Excel, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online The accounting profession and the software we use are changing rapidly due to AI and automation. Our software, procedures, and workflows will continue to evolve. We need someone who is comfortable learning new technology, adapting to changes, and learning new ways of doing things.

TAX SEASON

Tax season is our busiest time of year. The workload increases significantly and deadlines become more demanding. We need someone who can remain organized, pay attention to detail, communicate with clients, and continue working efficiently when things get busy. Vacations or extended planned absences during tax season will not be accommodated. Frequent absences are not workable for this position.

Pay:

$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
