Seasonal (with Permanent Opportunity) About the Role Harvey & Thompson and MichiganTaxCPA.com is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Preparer to join our team for the 2026 tax season. Responsibilities Prepare accurate federal and state individual tax returns (1040) Prepare or assist with business tax returns (1120S, 1065, 1120) depending on experience Review, organize, and input client documents with precision Communicate professionally with clients regarding questions and missing items Maintain consistent productivity and meet deadlines during peak season Collaborate with CPAs and staff in a structured For permanent hires: assist with ongoing accounting and bookkeeping clients after tax season

QualificationsRequired:

Experience preparing individual tax returns Strong accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to maintain focus and productivity during high-volume periods Proficiency with computers, cloud systems, and digital workflows

Preferred:
