Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to support individual tax filing needs for clients in Arkansas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage returns accurately, communicate clearly with clients, and work efficiently during busy filing periods. The role focuses on preparing personal tax documents, reviewing financial information for completeness, and using tax software to deliver timely and compliant filings.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual income tax returns with accuracy, ensuring all supporting financial details are properly reflected in each filing.
• Review client-provided documents, identify missing or inconsistent information, and follow up to obtain everything needed for completion.
• Apply current tax rules and guidelines to determine appropriate treatment of income, deductions, and credits for personal returns.
• Use Lacerte Tax Software to enter data, generate returns, and maintain organized electronic tax records.
• Communicate with clients regarding filing requirements, outstanding documents, and return status in a clear and courteous manner.
• Examine completed returns before submission to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information throughout the tax preparation process. Requirements
• Proven experience preparing individual tax returns in a detail-oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of personal income tax preparation principles and related filing requirements.
• Hands-on experience using Lacerte Tax Software for tax return preparation.
• Ability to review financial documents carefully and detect discrepancies or missing information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple returns and deadlines effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with clients and internal stakeholders.
