Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team! In this vital role, you will assist clients in preparing and filing their tax returns accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Your expertise will help individuals and small businesses navigate complex financial situations with confidence. Responsibilities Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations with precision and attention to detail Review financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy Analyze clients' financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential savings opportunities Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and software updates to provide compliant and optimized solutions Communicate clearly with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions effectively Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other tax preparation tools to streamline processes Assist with bookkeeping tasks and maintain organized records for audit readiness and future reference Qualifications Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a strong understanding of tax concepts Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms Solid knowledge of financial software applications and analysis skills for interpreting complex data Experience with Drake Tax is preferred Strong math skills along with excellent attention to detail in data entry (10 key typing experience preferred) Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients with varying levels of financial literacy Background in accounting or bookkeeping combined with customer service experience is highly desirable Familiarity with financial sales techniques or marketing strategies is a plus but not required Join us if you're passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals through expert tax preparation! $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
