Company Description Diaz & Brambila Tax Services is a dedicated tax and financial services firm serving individuals and small businesses in and around Newberg, OR. The firm focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and compliant tax solutions tailored to each client's needs. Team members work closely with clients to help them understand their tax obligations and identify opportunities for savings. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Tax Preparer role based in Newberg, OR. The Tax Preparer will meet with clients to gather financial information, review documentation, and clarify tax-related questions. Daily responsibilities include preparing individual and small business tax returns, applying current tax laws, and ensuring accurate data entry into tax software. The role involves analyzing client financial information, identifying eligible deductions and credits, and preparing supporting schedules and basic financial summaries. The Tax Preparer will also review completed returns for accuracy, assist with responses to tax notices, maintain organized records, and uphold confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications Must hold a valid Oregon Tax Preparer or Tax Consultant license. Strong skills in Tax Preparation and practical experience preparing individual and/or small business tax returns. Knowledge of Tax and Tax Law, including current federal and state regulations, deductions, credits, and filing requirements. Ability to work with Finance concepts and interpret Financial Statements to support accurate tax return completion. Proficiency with tax preparation software, spreadsheets, and basic office applications. High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills, especially during peak tax season. Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and documentation. Prior experience in a tax, accounting, or bookkeeping environment is preferred. Relevant certification or coursework (e.g., Registered Tax Return Preparer, EA in progress, or accounting/tax classes) is a plus. Ability to work on-site in Newberg, OR, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional and ethical standards. Ability to speak Spanish.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
