$65,000.00 - $74,000.00 / Annually

This position requires the employee to work on site. Remote work is not supported.

SCHEDULE

Monday to Friday - 8AM to 5PM

RESPONSIBLE FOR

: The AnyDoor Place (ADP) Newberg Manager is a full-time exempt position responsible for all aspects of YCAP AnyDoor Place Newberg programs. ADP Newberg is a facility composed of essential services for youth and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Services include:

night by night shelter for families with children, young adults, and unaccompanied minors; street outreach; day center drop-in support for youth age 11-21; recreational activities, skill-building groups, job/career development, academic support, supply distribution (food, clothes, hygiene products) and other services for at-risk youth, runaway/homeless youth and families. This position works closely with the Associate Deputy Director of Programs, to implement Youth Services and Family Shelter programs, strategy, objectives, procedures and policies, and oversees the day-to-day operations and services provided at YCAP AnyDoor Place Newberg.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

: Create a positive team atmosphere providing quality service to clients, staff and volunteers through active listening, positive problem solving, and timely responses. Manage the day-to-day activities of youth programs and shelter operating at the ADP Newberg facility. Supervise staff and volunteers, including hiring, directing, scheduling, training, coaching, evaluating and addressing staff performance. Collaborate with Director to develop and achieve established grant and program metrics and goals. Partners with YCAP Shelter Programs Manager on how to structure and run nightly shelter operations (i.e. oversight, check-in processes, rules, policies, etc). Ensure ADP Newberg is a safe, nurturing, and well-supervised place for youth and families in crisis and/or experiencing homelessness to participate in and access services. Support development of educational, enrichment, and recreational activities for youth and families. Maintain data and records and provide timely reports as needed. Ensure outcomes are tracked, safety procedures are in place and followed, files and programs meet grant requirements. Engage and collaborate with parents, youth serving organizations, homeless service providers and other key partners to increase effectiveness of the local youth and family homeless services system. Develop strong working relationships with key community partners slated to provide resources at the ADP Navigation Centers. Participate in the after-hours Shelter Programs Managers on-call rotation which ensures continuous coverage for emergencies, client needs, facility concerns, and staff support outside of regular business hours. On-call rotation is scheduled for, but not limited to, one week every four to five weeks. Represents YCAP as needed at community events. This position may also be asked to provide input to policy makers (local, state, and federal), to meet with current and prospective donors and to represent YCAP as part of community level planning groups. Assist Director in the development of program budget and monitoring expenses for appropriateness and approved budget limits. Follow and adhere to agency, department, and program policies and procedures, assist with the development of policies and procedures as needed. Coordinate with Programs Director to develop and maintain funding partners. Advise and make recommendations to the Director related to program needs. Provides direct service to clients as needed. Support agency activities and initiatives related to homelessness. This can include, but is not limited to: annual Point-in-Time count (PIT), Yamhill County Regional Shelter Collaborative. Ensure facilities are safe, organized, clean, and adequately supplied. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Bachelor's degree in social work or closely related field required, MSW strongly preferred. Education or experience with social services, homeless or youth specific program management. Minimum of two years management level supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal skills working with community partners, clients and staff from diverse backgrounds. Ability to adapt to evolving situations, remain calm in stressful situations and self-regulate emotions while interacting with clients and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Knowledge of computers and software programs. Skill in verbal and written communications, problem solving, and teamwork. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Excellent leadership, team building and problem-solving skills. Ability to pass drug screen & background check, and insurance check of driving record. Valid driver's license, required for transportation to off-site meetings, events, and occasional transportation of clients.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit, stand, kneel, walk or bend for periods of time. May lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

$65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
