Bilingual Tax Preparer D&G Elite Tax Pros is accepting applications for bilingual tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. Bilingual English and Spanish applicants are strongly preferred. No previous tax preparation experience is required. Tax preparation education, software orientation, mentorship, and ongoing support are provided. This is a seasonal, hybrid, 1099 independent-contractor opportunity. Contractors may provide services remotely or from our office based on their availability and client needs. Responsibilities Prepare individual federal income tax returns Review W-2s, 1099s, self-employment records, and other client documents Verify that client information is accurate and complete Request missing documents and supporting information when necessary Conduct professional virtual or in-person client consultations Assist English- and Spanish-speaking clients throughout the tax preparation process Enter client information accurately into approved tax preparation software Follow applicable IRS due diligence requirements Protect confidential personal and financial information Communicate professionally with clients regarding their tax returns Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred Able to conduct professional client consultations in English and Spanish No previous tax preparation experience required Strong communication and customer-service skills Basic computer and technology skills Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail Professional and willing to learn Able to work independently and manage client responsibilities Requirements Must have or obtain a valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number before preparing client tax returns Must complete required tax preparation and due-diligence education Must comply with applicable data-security and confidentiality requirements Must have reliable access to a computer and internet service when working remotely Compensation This is a commission-only opportunity. Independent contractors earn 30% of the tax-preparation fees collected for eligible tax returns they personally prepare. There is no guaranteed salary, hourly wage, minimum number of clients, or guaranteed level of earnings. Actual compensation depends on the number and type of eligible tax returns completed and the tax-preparation fees collected. The complete commission and payment terms will be provided in writing before the independent-contractor agreement is signed.
