In this role, you will assist clients with preparing and filing their individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Your expertise in accounting software, tax reporting, and client communication will be essential in delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your tax preparation skills while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to accuracy and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks and Sage. Ensure all tax documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with federal, state, and local tax laws. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information, clarify questions, and explain tax-related concepts clearly. Assist clients with understanding their tax obligations, deductions, credits, and potential refunds. Maintain detailed records of all tax filings, correspondence, and client interactions for audit readiness. Stay updated on current tax law changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes. Support the team with general accounting tasks related to financial reporting, analysis skills, and technical accounting as needed. Experience Prior experience in public accounting or a similar role involving tax preparation is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, financial concepts, and tax law. Proficiency with tax preparation software, QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software platforms. Strong math skills with 10 key typing proficiency for efficient data entry. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients. Experience handling individual tax returns as well as partnership or corporate tax expertise is a plus. Ability to analyze financial documents accurately while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
