Responsibilities include:
Preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns Preparation of tax planning and projections Identifying tax issues and recommending practical solutions Assisting with federal and state tax notices Supporting annual initiatives Researching complex tax matters and documenting conclusions Collaborating on special projects Contributing ideas to improve workflow efficiency and client experience Why Experienced Professionals Enjoy This Role Year-round schedule with consistency and flexibility Opportunity to stay engaged in tax work without the demands of a traditional full-time public accounting role Hybrid work options available High-level, intellectually engaging tax work Collaborative team environment that values professionalism and relationships Modern, technology-driven paperless firm Ability to make an impact without excessive overtime expectations Exposure to a variety of tax situations Qualifications 3+ years of recent tax preparation experience, preferably in public accounting Strong technical knowledge of individual and business taxation Experience with tax research, projections, and tax planning concepts Proficiency with technology and comfort learning new systems quickly Experience with QuickBooks Online and CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem fx is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team Client-service mindset with professionalism and discretion Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred; advanced degree is a plus but not required. Schedule & Work Expectations Up to 30 hours per week outside of tax season- Up to 40 hours per week during peak tax periods (February 15
- April 15 and August 15
- October 15) Overtime is not expected Flexible scheduling considerations available for the right candidate Additional Information This is a part-time position and does not include company-sponsored benefits.
