Job Description

Job Summary Seasonal opportunity for an income tax practitioner as an independent contractor with flexible hours. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant individual and business tax returns, ensuring clients receive the maximum benefits while adhering to all tax laws and regulations. Duties Prepare and review individual and business tax returns using Drake tax preparation software.. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying current on tax regulations and reporting requirements. Gather and analyze financial documents including W-2s, 1099s, receipts, bank statements, and other relevant records to accurately complete tax filings. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, clarify questions, and explain tax strategies or obligations. Identify potential deductions, credits, and strategies to optimize client refunds or minimize liabilities while maintaining strict adherence to tax laws. Assist clients with tax planning advice related to individual and small business taxes. Maintain organized records of all prepared returns, supporting documents, and correspondence for audit readiness. Requirements Experience in tax preparation preferred but not required. Proficient computer skills Excellent opportunity for Annual Filing Season Participant , Enrolled Agent, Accountant or Inactive CPA Outstanding customer service skills and communication skills. Ability to analyze financial data quickly while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines during peak season. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client files efficiently. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
