Full-Time About Us We are a growing, client-focused firm specializing in tax preparation and bookkeeping services for individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. Our firm is built on strong client relationships, technical excellence, and a collaborative team culture. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our tax and bookkeeping team. We are also closely involved with a Financial Planning firm, allowing us to provide more comprehensive, forward-looking guidance and advice to our clients. Position Overview The Tax Preparer will be responsible for hands-on preparation of individual and business tax returns under the review and guidance of senior staff. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in tax, with room to grow as skills and experience develop. This role involves regular client contact for gathering documentation and answering routine questions, with more complex tax planning and advisory matters handled by senior staff. Over time, there may be opportunities to gain exposure to broader tax planning work and, eventually, aviation-related tax and accounting engagements. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax returns for review by senior staff
- Gather, organize, and review client documentation and financial information
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of returns in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations
- Research routine tax questions using firm resources and escalate complex issues to senior staff
- Communicate with clients to collect information and provide routine status updates Client & Practice Support
- Help maintain positive, professional client relationships
- Support bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred (CPA not required)
- Prior tax preparation experience is a plus; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
- Basic knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, or a strong willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and client service skills
