• Minimum of 1 year in individual and business tax preparation OR accounting experience.

• Preferred Background:

• Experience with H&R Block or other tax firms is a plus!

Duties and responsibilities Prepare tax provisions, schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations Need to maintain good client relationship Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws Important skills to thrive in this position Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations Knowledge of independently preparing Individual and Business Taxes (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120) Experience of reviewing Individual / Business taxes and financial statements Knowledge of payroll and sales tax is preferred High attention to detail and accuracy Good communicator with great people skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Enjoys a fast paced environment with challenging work Good at multi-tasking Team oriented, but can also work independently Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases Preferred experience: 1+ years of business and individual income tax preparation and review CPA/EA Preferred Quick Books proficient
