About Us:
SG Tax Service is an established, growing tax preparation firm serving our community. We're looking for someone who wants to learn the tax preparation business from the ground up. Position Overview:
The Entry Level Tax Preparer is responsible for preparing basic tax returns for individuals under supervision. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. You'll gain hands-on experience in tax preparation and have opportunities for ongoing training and career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare simple individual tax returns. Ensure accurate data entry and tax filing using tax preparation software. Collect and organize client financial information according to firm standards. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with tax laws and firm procedures. Provide professional customer service and address client questions. Attend training sessions and follow established documentation processes.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish — Required PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) or ability to obtain one — Required Willingness to learn and follow firm procedures and documentation standards. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and ability to quickly learn new software. Prior customer service or client-facing experience is a plus. Tax preparation training or experience preferred. Company-sponsored tax prep training provided
Schedule:
October - December 2026: 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling January - April 2027: 40 hours per week, Monday-Saturday possible overtime during peak periods Flexible start date between October 1-15, 2026
Job Type:
Seasonal Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 50.0 per week
