RITBS Inc. is looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team and help individuals and businesses navigate their tax obligations with confidence and compliance. About the Role You'll prepare and file federal and state returns, review financial records, and deliver clear guidance that helps clients minimize liabilities—all while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys both technical tax work and building strong client relationships. Responsibilities Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenses, to ensure accuracy. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tax Act and Xero to manage client data effectively. Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities. Conduct thorough analyses of financial information to identify potential issues or discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and financial concepts. Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred. Strong understanding of financial concepts, including corporate accounting and technical accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Tax Act) and financial software applications. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks. Strong math skills for accurate calculations and assessments. Experience in financial sales or marketing is a plus, enhancing client engagement strategies. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively. A background in bookkeeping is advantageous for managing client accounts comprehensively.
