SUMMARY:
The Cage Teller will cash checks, tickets, and other forms of compensation in a consistently accurate and friendly manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash personal checks, PFJP tickets, ticket vouchers, com checks, Coinstar vouchers, and VIP vouchers per customers' requests. Perform Canadian money exchanges as needed. Utilize currency counting machine to verify bank and additional cash issues before accepting the issue. Verify bank in the issue room before accepting the issue. Complete and sign all paperwork neatly according to current departmental policy when bank is issued, returned, and throughout the shift as needed. Maintain security of bank, workstation, and other computer information. Communicate any problems, unacceptable checks, or other information to oncoming cashier. Input necessary information into the check cashing system accurately.
Perform correct double count procedures:
once onto the indicated work area and then again on the counter in front of the customer. Stamp all tickets and vouchers as paid with the appropriate stamp and keep organized to assist in completing ending paperwork. Notify supervisor, security, and surveillance if stolen or altered checks, coupons, or voided tickets are cashed. Obtain additional cash from money room as needed to complete all anticipated transactions. Report any variances to shift supervisor prior to leaving for the day. Attend all team meetings including assigned training or other workshops as requested by manager. Immediately notify manager of any customer complaints or employee concerns in order to achieve positive resolution. Other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be able to obtain a Coeur d'Alene tribal gaming license. A minimum of six months previous cash handling experience required; two years preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
Basic computer skills preferred. Strong basic math skills preferred. Must have strong customer service skills.
