Job Description
Heartland Credit Union is looking for a full-time Teller to work at our branch in Newton. If you are a positive, friendly, and motivated individual who enjoys customer service and sales, then this is for you. Heartland's training is top-notch, and this position provides a great opportunity to gain experience in the financial services field and be a part of a growing company! NO Evenings or Sundays!!

This person will work from our Newton branch located at 2201 S. Kansas Ave.SCHEDULE
Must be available to work 36-40 hours per week, between 7:45 am- 5:45pm M-Th, 7:45 am
- 6:15 F and then 8:45am
- 12:15pm on rotating Saturdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities: Greets customers entering the branch, directs them to the correct staff member for assistance and provides assistance with ATM usage, coin counting machine, safety deposit boxes and other branch services. Responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of paying and receiving functions including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. Verifies cash totals and balances each day's transactions. Educate members of credit union products and services. Balances ATM machines, coin counters, and cash dispensing/recycling machines in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures members are promptly and professionally served. Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Provides superior service to our members. Proactively support and advance HCU's brand platform. Performs all other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent. Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred. Experience working in a financial institution is helpful but not required. Proficient with technology and variety of software includingMS Office:
Word, Excel and Outlook. Well organized and attentive to detail. Excellent communication skills. Ability to move 30 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently. Stationary for extended periods of time.EOE:
