Job Description

Expree Credit Union is looking for a qualified full-time Teller. In the role of the full-time Teller, you will provide member satisfaction and retention by building relationships, promoting products and services, and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions Receive share draft/checks and cash for deposit to accounts; verify amounts, examine share draft/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into records Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances. Assist with mail or email transactions, when available. Maintain an up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by tellers Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, rules, and regulations for the teller area including robbery procedures Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds. Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary. Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, etc. Answer phone calls and transfer accordingly Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required At least 1 year of Teller/Cash Handling experience General knowledge of credit union or banking practices Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical and math skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to deal with difficult members and difficult situations in a very professional manner Maintain confidential and sensitive information Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including data entry, transaction processing, or recordkeeping Customer service experience involving direct interaction with the public Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with team members Those who are bi-lingual in Spanish/English are encouraged to apply.
