Job Description

Purpose :
Vault Teller is responsible for managing and maintaining the safe and secure storage of cash, valuables, and other important documents within a financial institution or similar organization.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Cash Management :
Handling large sums of money, including counting, sorting, and verifying cash deposits and withdrawals.
Vault Operations :
Operating and maintaining the vault and ATM , including ensuring its security measures are in place and functioning properly.
Record Keeping :
Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, including cash movements in and out of the vault.
Customer Service :
Assisting customers with their vault-related needs, such as providing access to safe deposit boxes or assisting with cash transactions.
Compliance:
Adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures regarding the handling and storage of cash and valuables, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies.
Coordination :
Collaborating with other members of the banking staff, such as tellers, managers, and security personnel, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Security :
Always maintaining a high level of security awareness to protect against theft or fraud.
Team Player:
Stepping in and helping out the credit union wherever help is needed
Required Skills/Abilities :
Excellent leadership and management skills. Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications/Experience Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional education in finance, accounting, or a related field may be beneficial.
Experience :
Prior experience in banking, cash handling, or a related field is often preferred. Experience with vault operations or security procedures may also be advantageous. Attention to

Strong attention to detail is essential for accurately counting and recording cash transactions.
Organizational Skills :
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively, especially when handling multiple transactions simultaneously.
Integrity :
High level of integrity and honesty, as vault tellers are entrusted with the safekeeping of valuable assets.
Communication Skills :
Good communication skills are important for interacting with customers and collaborating with colleagues.
Computer Skills :
Basic computer skills are often required for using banking software and maintaining electronic records
Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
