Teller - South Elm AVB Bank - 4.0 Broken Arrow, OK Job Details $14 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Serving clients Basic math English High school diploma or GED Computer skills Full Job Description Summary The Teller position is part of the Retail Team, the team that is the "face" of AVB Bank. Our Tellers don't have sales quotas intended to pressure customers into other bank products. Instead, we REWARD our team members for providing outstanding customer service and for knowing when customers can benefit from services we offer. Primary Responsibilities Provide prompt and courteous service to customers Comply with dual control and security procedures Accept retail and commercial checking and savings deposits Accept and process cash deposits Accept and process coin deposits using coin counter Move bagged coins to the vault or designated secure area Complete work with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner Process withdrawals and cash checks up to designated limits Help prepare currency and bags of coins for fed shipment; Accept currency and boxed coins from Fed shipment Assure compliance with all applicable bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations Acquire and maintain knowledge about the importance, requirements of, and procedures for completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Regulation CC holds Accept loan payments of all types Sell cashiers checks and money orders Process cash advances on credit/debit cards Know when to report suspicious transactions, activity, or situations to appropriate personnel Acquire and maintain comprehensive product knowledge Promote and cross sell bank products and services, refer customers to appropriate staff for new products and services. Secondary Responsibilities Participate in community service: attend bank functions within the community, interact with customers to create a community relationship, identify opportunities for new business Travel to other AVB Bank branches for coverage as needed Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Two years cash handling and customer service experience Basic math, reading and writing, and computer skills are required Physical Requirements Time spent standing: 5-8 hours daily Lift (weight): 50 pounds
