Job Description
Position Summary The Relationship Banking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Retail Banking department. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational accuracy, and compliance with all organizational standards. The supervisor also assists customers directly, resolves escalated issues, and proactively mitigates fraud to protect both the bank and its customers. Leadership & Team Management Directs, coordinates, and evaluates the performance of the Relationship Banking team. Trains, mentors, schedules, and assigns daily work to staff. Provides constructive performance feedback and supports employee development. Must achieve thorough knowledge and ensure adherence to all applicable banking regulations, as well as adhering to all established policies, procedures, and security guidelines. Addresses staff concerns and resolves workflow or operational issues. Oversee and ensure accurate and timely completion of all branch duties as assigned. Customer Service & Banking Support Provides high-quality customer service when opening new deposit accounts, CDs, IRAs, debit cards, and other banking products such as digital banking and treasury management products. Performs account maintenance, updates customer records, completes various bookkeeping forms, and drafts correspondence as needed. Serves as the escalation point for customer complaints, ensuring timely, professional resolution. Educates customers on deposit and digital banking products. Cross sells bank products and services to meet customer needs. Fraud Monitoring & Loss Prevention Investigates, documents, and prevents false fraud from being reported to the fraud department. Communicates professionally with merchants and customers regarding disputes. Proactively mitigates possible losses. Operations & Administrative Duties Represents the bank in a courteous and professional manner, providing the highest level of prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of serving customers, cross-selling products and services and managing all aspects of the department. Drives business growth by meeting and exceeding individual and branch goals through proactive outreach, cross-selling, and community networking. Utilizes bank data processing systems and software effectively. Performs other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma required; college preferred. Banking or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of bank products, services, and digital banking tools. Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service abilities. Capable of working efficiently and accurately under pressure. Sound decision-making skills during customer interactions and operational tasks. Detail-oriented with strong organization and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as a leader within a team environment. Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
