Job Description
At Heritage USA Federal Credit Union, our tellers are more than transaction processors-they are often the first smile, conversation, and helping hand our members experience when they walk through our doors. We are looking for dependable, friendly, and service-minded individuals who take pride in helping others, working as part of a team, and getting the details right. What You'll Do Welcome members and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and other financial transactions accurately Maintain and balance a cash drawer while following established cash-handling procedures Assist members with questions and help identify solutions to meet their financial needs Educate members about Heritage products and services that may benefit them Protect member information and maintain confidentiality at all times Follow credit union policies, procedures, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines Work collaboratively with fellow team members to support branch operations and provide an excellent member experience Assist with additional branch responsibilities as needed What We Expect Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Professional, friendly, and member-focused demeanor Strong cash-handling and transaction accuracy skills Ability to multitask and adjust priorities as needed Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance Ability to work well with members, peers, and leadership Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional during busy periods Confidence in identifying opportunities to introduce members to Heritage products and services Commitment to protecting confidential member and credit union information Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive team environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Teller, cash-handling, banking, credit union, retail, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer and system proficiency Ability to learn and use credit union systems and technology Understanding of, or willingness to learn, credit union products and services Physical Requirements With or without reasonable accommodation: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment Ability to handle cash, paperwork, and member transactions accurately Ability to communicate effectively with members and team members Ability to work in a branch environment with frequent public interaction Join the Heritage Team We believe great member experiences begin with great people.
