Teller Line Purpose:
Responsible for processing all transactions, including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, payments and inquiries; adherence to policy and procedures of credit union banking; providing high quality customer services; and informing customers about available banking services and products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide excellent customer service skills. 2. Performs routine member transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. Sells teller checks and encodes and scans checks. Ability to fill out credit union forms, such as wire transfer forms, automatic transfer forms, hold notices, direct deposit forms, payroll deduction forms, CTR's (Currency Transaction Reports) and SAR's (Suspicious Activity Reports). 3. Explains, promotes or cross-sells Credit Union products and services offered by the Credit Union. 4. Comply with the Credit Union's operational, compliance, and security policies and all applicable federal/state laws. 5. Able to answer questions regarding accounts and make appropriate referrals or overrides, as necessary. 6. Consistently maintain a positive image and professionalism. 7. Provides members with the forms necessary to transact business at the Credit Union. 8. Examines checks for endorsements and negotiability. 9. Provides members with proper receipts for payments. 10. Examines currency for counterfeits. 11. Report member complaints and concerns immediate supervisor/manager. 12. Processes stop payments on share draft accounts. 13. Provides information on Credit Union products and services, such as but not limited to eligibility for membership, types of Credit Union accounts, insurance on loans, loan policies, interest rates, current dividend rates, locations, office hours, and telephone numbers. 14. Provides members with account status, including current balance and loan payoffs. 15. Close members accounts. 16. Performs various clerical functions including typing, filing, faxing, and copying. 17. Performs the opening and closing functions of the Credit Union as needed. 18. Monitors teller inventory and supplies as needed. 19. Attends required staff meetings. 20. Performs the posting of JVs. 21. Responsible to complete assigned credit union reports as necessary. 22. Performs other duties as assigned. Standards & Expectations Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to work on weekends Must be able to work at different branch locations per credit union needs. Basic computer and Windows skills required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Prior cash handling experience preferred. Abillity to use a 10-key adding machine or keyboard. Good communication skills both oral and written. Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred. Must be able to work in a Team environment.
Pay:
$13.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
