Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Teller / Customer Service representative, where your enthusiasm and dedication will drive exceptional banking experiences. We are seeking a professional, dedicated and enthusiastic Teller/Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting members with inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience that fosters long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and accuracy in cash recording. Duties Handle daily cash transactions with accuracy, including deposits, withdrawals, debits & credits, and cash management tasks using banking software and 10 key typing skills. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients warmly, answering inquiries, and guiding them through various banking products and services. Promote financial sales through upselling opportunities such as savings accounts, loans, and other financial services to meet customer needs. Assist customers with loan origination processes and loan processing to support their financial goals while ensuring compliance with fraud prevention and detection protocols. Manage customer relationships by maintaining accurate records of interactions, identifying opportunities for relationship management, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and adhering to security procedures. Support retail math calculations for cash handling, balancing tills at shift end, and ensuring accurate debit & credit processing. Qualifications Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. Basic math proficiency including retail math skills necessary for cash handling and balancing accounts. Experience or familiarity with financial software systems is preferred. Knowledge of banking operations such as cashiering, cash handling, debits & credits, and cash management is highly desirable. Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated interest in financial sales, relationship management, or retail banking is a plus. Prior experience in retail math or cashier roles will be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pay:
$17.00 - $17.50 per hour
