Job Description

Teller
POSITION PURPOSE A
Teller is often the first point of contact in delivering REV's promise of an exceptional member experience. Tellers play a key role in building trust and confidence with members by performing transactions accurately, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming, efficient experience. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about helping others. Duties & Responsibilities Assumes responsibility for creating an exceptional member experience through basic financial transactions:
  • Serve as a frontline ambassador by greeting members warmly and providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
  • Process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Actively listen to member needs and connect them to appropriate products, services, or specialists.
  • Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily, following internal controls and security procedures.
  • Assist in resolving member inquiries, account issues, and discrepancies with empathy and urgency.
  • Educate members on self-service options including online and mobile banking tools.
  • Participate in team sales and service goals by identifying opportunities to deepen member relationships.
  • Support branch operations and contribute to a strong team culture through flexibility, reliability, and accountability.
Assumes responsibility for other duties as required or assigned.
Skills & Qualifications Education/Certification & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 6 months of customer service, cash handling, or retail banking experience.
Skills/ABILITIES:
  • Basic math aptitude and comfort with technology and digital platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated reliability and integrity in previous roles.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
  • Desire to grow within the organization and learn new responsibilities.
  • Compliance with all governing regulations, especially the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC and the Patriot Act requirements.
