Job Description
Controller Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Controller for a company based in Elkmont, AL . In this role, you will have the opportunity to direct, plan, and validate all accounting activities to ensure proper reporting of monthly plant financial results. Pay Rate $ 110,000 -120,000 annually Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 7 3 0 am to 4 00 pm. Controller Duties and Responsibilities Direct and validate all accounting activities including labor distribution, inventories, general receipts, scrap, rework, accounts payable, closed order variances, fixed assets transactions and journal entries. (Includes monthly reconciliation of balance and sheets.) Analyze monthly plant financial results. Initiate and implement cost reduction recommendations in both product and operations. Review and approve capital expenditure requests. Ensure accuracy of assumptions and accountability for attaining promised results. Plan and develop the annual plant operating budgets based on current plant capabilities and desired cost, service and quality objectives. Set product cost standards via annual cost roll. Make recommendations and focus plant management on products or product groups that need improvement. Controller Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor' s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. MBA preferred 5+ years of practical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Computer skills with knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Software. Excellent analytical and auditing skills. Proficient in verbal and written communication. The ability to continually and constructively question and challenge the current practices and processes.
