Overview The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, accounting functions, and financial reporting activities of the healthcare organization. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, timely financial reporting, effective internal controls, regulatory compliance, and sound financial management. The Controller works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), department directors, revenue cycle leadership, and other members of management to support organizational financial goals and decision-making. Responsibilities Oversee the organization's general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll accounting, and financial reconciliations. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with applicable accounting principles. Analyze financial results and identify significant variances from budget and prior periods. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments. Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience , preferably in a healthcare organization. Previous supervisory or management experience required. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with healthcare accounting and reimbursement preferred. Experience with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement preferred. Experience with hospital financial systems and electronic accounting systems preferred.
Pay:
$36.00 - $50.00 per hour
