Summary Plans and directs accounting activities within the finance department by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and participates in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and related documentation. Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records. Conduct internal audits involving a review of accounting and administrative controls. Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Overseeing all general accounting tasks such as daily posting to general ledgers, detailed research to clear entries, and general ledger account. Identifies solutions to discrepancies in financial records. Support property tax reconciliations, reporting requirements, and regulatory submittals. Maintain and oversee sales tax configurations within the ERP system to ensure accurate reporting and timely filings. Calculate and administer company-wide commission programs while maintaining processes that ensure timely and accurate payments. Provide training related to data analytics and ERP data integrity initiatives across auxiliary departments, including purchasing, sales, and operations as needed. Indirectly supervises and oversees the Finance Department and accounting functions and staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience and 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting practices. Experience with general ledger management, account reconciliation, and full close process (monthly, quarterly, and annually). Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
