Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to support annual operating plan and forecasting processes, including data validation, variance analysis, and ensuring alignment between financial performance and organizational objectives. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day accounting operations across three operating locations.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Manage and mentor the AP and AR teams while effectively handling personnel issues and driving accountability.
  • Own the monthly close process and develop standardized close checklists and procedures to consistently achieve a seven-day close.
  • Prepare and review monthly consolidations across all three company locations.
  • Identify accounting issues, investigate discrepancies, and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous process improvements throughout the accounting department.
  • Apply strong technical accounting knowledge related to: o Revenue Recognition o Prepaids o Accruals o Balance Sheet Reconciliations o GAAP compliance
  • Partner with Armanino on accounting matters, audit support, and technical accounting projects.
  • Support the ongoing DataCore system upgrade and help improve accounting processes around the ERP environment.
  • Build stronger internal controls and improve documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare financial reporting and variance analysis for senior leadership.
  • Assist with budgeting and annual operating plan development.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations and finance in a fast-changing environment where priorities evolve frequently. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university required.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
  • Prior experience leading full-cycle accounting in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience supervising AP and AR teams.
  • Strong technical accounting background, including revenue recognition and balance sheet accounting.
  • Experience preparing multi-entity consolidations.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required; the organization currently relies heavily on Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • ERP implementation or system upgrade experience is highly desirable.
  • Plant Controller experience is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence, coach, and navigate difficult personnel situations.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a passion for digging into problems, improving processes, and building scalable accounting functions.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a growing business where priorities and responsibilities can change quickly.
