full-time Our client is seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing to lead accounting operations and support strategic financial decision-making. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can oversee the close process, strengthen internal controls, and partner with operations to improve financial performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and margin reporting Partner with plant and operations leadership to monitor production costs, labor, and overhead Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls Coordinate year-end audit activities and support external auditors Supervise and develop accounting staff Evaluate and improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and ERP utilization Support capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset accounting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility Prior Controller or Accounting Manager experience within a manufacturing environment required Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and standard costing Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls ERP system experience required; advanced Excel skills preferred
