Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller (Food Processing | Cost Accounting | NetSuite) About the Role AppleOne is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Controller with a strong background in cost accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting within a food processing environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute month-end close in NetSuite, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial accuracy checks
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Build and present board-level financial reports and variance analysis
• Oversee cost accounting processes, including product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis
• Partner with operations and production teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor and analyze KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to drive plant performance
• Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
• Collaborate with HR on payroll and labor cost allocation and analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Assist with external audits and reporting documentation
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special financial projects ________________________________________ Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including cost accounting and financial close
• Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or industrial manufacturing preferred
• Strong expertise in NetSuite ERP (or similar systems)
• Proven success in financial reporting, operational analysis, and inventory management
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus
• Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement How to Apply
