Our client is a multi-entity, vertically integrated manufacturing business and leader in their industry. They are looking for a strong people leader for their Controller role - to take ownership of all accounting and financial reporting functions, driving accuracy, discipline, and strategic insight across the organization. This role is pivotal in strengthening internal controls, elevating cost accounting sophistication, and building scalable processes to support continued growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with
U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements within a multi-entity.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
- Partner with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Develop cost accounting frameworks and oversee inventory valuation and controls
- Partner with operations to analyze cost drivers, improve margins, and enhance production efficiency
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to support rapid growth and operational scale
- Explore AI and advanced analytics solutions to streamline accounting processes, including but not limited to automated reconciliations, and anomaly detection in inventory and cost data.
- Build, manage, and mentor the accounting team; Establish performance expectations, workflows, and professional development plans. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 7-12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a Controller or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with inventory-intensive and/or manufacturing environments
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments This is a critical management role in evolving industry with a rapidly growing business.
