Job Description

HSS is currently seeking a Regional Vice President to lead operations, client relationships, sales, and profitable growth throughout our West region . Job Summary The Regional Vice President is a senior business leader with full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, client partnerships, revenue growth, and profitability of the assigned region. This leader will have the autonomy and resources to shape regional strategy, expand market share, strengthen major accounts, and develop a high-performing leadership team. Working closely with HSS senior leadership, the Regional Vice President will identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and position HSS as the preferred workforce partner throughout the region. The ideal candidate is a proven operator and growth leader who brings executive presence, strong financial discipline, commercial expertise, and a track record of building successful teams and businesses. Duties and Responsibilities Regional Strategy and Operational Leadership Establish and execute the strategic vision, priorities, and growth plan for the region. Lead regional operations, service delivery, client satisfaction, and financial performance. Translate company objectives into clear, measurable regional strategies. Identify market trends, operational risks, and opportunities for competitive advantage. Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, urgency, and continuous improvement. Ensure regional commitments and performance expectations are consistently achieved. Sales and Market Expansion Develop and execute business plans that accelerate revenue growth and expand market share. Identify opportunities to diversify the region s customer base, services, and workforce solutions. Build a strong pipeline of new and expanded business through executive networking, prospecting, referrals, and strategic partnerships. Cultivate relationships with senior executives, key decision-makers, and client sponsors. Lead high-value bids, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and implementation strategies. Position HSS as a strategic workforce partner capable of solving complex client challenges. Strategic Client Partnerships Build and expand relationships with major regional and national accounts. Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives by understanding their business priorities and workforce needs. Mobilize HSS resources and service lines to deliver innovative, high-value solutions. Strengthen client retention, satisfaction, and account profitability. Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships across additional markets and services. Maintain strong alignment between clients, HSS senior leadership, and internal operational teams. Executive Team Leadership Recruit, develop, and retain an exceptional regional leadership team. Set clear performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for measurable results. Coach and mentor operational, sales, and management teams to strengthen performance and succession readiness. Build a strong leadership pipeline and create opportunities for professional advancement. Oversee employment decisions, performance management, and annual compensation reviews. Create an environment where high-performing employees are challenged, recognized, and empowered to succeed. Financial and Business Performance Maintain full profit-and-loss responsibility for the assigned region. Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, expenses, and variable overhead. Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Implement strategies that strengthen margins, operational efficiency, and long-term profitability. Balance aggressive growth objectives with exceptional service quality and client satisfaction. Report regional performance, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership. Travel at least 50% throughout the assigned region. Perform additional executive-level responsibilities as business needs evolve. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, finance, or a related field required. MBA or advanced business degree strongly preferred. Five or more years of progressive regional, multi-site, or senior business leadership experience. Experience leading national programs, large accounts, or complex service-based operations. Proven record of delivering profitable growth, operational excellence, and increased market share. Demonstrated success developing and expanding major regional or national accounts. Strong profit-and-loss, budgeting, forecasting, and financial-management experience. Ability to develop and execute integrated sales and operational strategies. Experience building, leading, and retaining high-performing, geographically dispersed teams. Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior-level decision-makers. Exceptional business judgment, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate complex business situations with confidence, urgency, and sound judgment.
