Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Banking Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our banking activities. This pivotal role involves overseeing financial reporting, managing banking relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and treasury management, driving efficiency and accuracy across all banking functions. As a key leader within our organization, you will foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement to support our mission and growth objectives. Duties Lead the management of all banking activities, including cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations. Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and other regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), regulatory reporting standards, and internal control policies. Manage the month-end closing process, including balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation. Supervise accounting teams responsible for corporate accounting, cost analysis, technical accounting, payroll, and financial software systems. Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, cost control initiatives, and strategic decision-making. Maintain strong relationships with banking partners; negotiate terms; optimize cash flow and treasury management strategies. Oversee regulatory compliance accounting related to governmental agencies and non-profit organizations where applicable. Implement process improvements using spreadsheets, Excel data analysis tools, and accounting software to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure timely completion of audits, internal reviews, and external reporting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Extensive experience managing accounting teams within corporate or public accounting environments. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes. Proven expertise in SOX compliance, IFRS standards, GAAP regulations, and regulatory compliance accounting practices. Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is highly desirable. Proficiency in financial software systems such as ERP platforms; advanced Excel skills including data analysis are essential. Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial reporting processes and conduct detailed financial analysis. Excellent communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive financial reports clearly and accurately. Strong leadership qualities with experience managing finance teams; ability to foster collaboration and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
