This key leadership role oversees all accounting operations tied to manufacturing activities, including detailed cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, and internal controls. $140,000-$160,000 annually Key Responsibilities Oversee all manufacturing cost accounting functions, including standard costing, job costing, variance analysis, and project-level labor costing Analyze production costs and deliver clear reporting that compares standard vs. actual performance to support operational decision-making Manage inventory valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods while ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls Lead month-end and year-end close activities, producing timely, GAAP-aligned financial statements for leadership Partner with operations to drive cost efficiency, develop budgets and forecasts, and identify opportunities for process and profitability improvements Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance, continuous-improvement culture Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Deep knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, standard costing, and variance analysis Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or comparable platforms Advanced Excel proficiency paired with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders Experience supporting lean or continuous-improvement initiatives, with strong attention to detail and a strategic mindset that supports business growthSimilar remote jobs
