Our client, a well established Sacramento based organization, is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail oriented payroll professional with strong accounting skills and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for full cycle payroll processing and supporting key accounting functions. This contract to hire position offers a primarily remote schedule, with hybrid work (2 days onsite) after training. Sacramento, CA Hybrid (2 days onsite after training) $33-$38 per hour DOE Contract to Hire Key Responsibilities Process full cycle payroll accurately and on schedule Manage payroll taxes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Perform W 4 and payroll reconciliation Prepare and post payroll related journal entries Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to resolve payroll discrepancies Support audits and reporting as needed Qualifications Previous experience in full cycle payroll processing; must have ADP Workforce Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations Experience with payroll reconciliations and journal entries High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment Strong communication and organizational skills
