Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial ReportingLead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance.
Analyze financial results and support year-end close activities.
Team LeadershipOversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Staff Accounting functions.
Serve as the primary accounting resource for operational departments.
Provide leadership, guidance, and continuity for the accounting team.
Inventory & Cost AccountingOversee inventory accounting, reconciliations, and valuation.
Review production variances and manufacturing cost analysis.
Partner with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory and production activity.
Audit, Compliance & ControlsSupport external audit preparation and audit requests.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and strengthen internal controls.
Assist with sales tax filings, business licenses, permits, and other compliance requirements.
Treasury & ERPReview cash activity, banking transactions, and reconciliations.
Act as the Finance Lead for accounting-related ERP activities.
Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central processes, reporting, and data integrity.
QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.8+ years of progressive accounting experience.4+ years of accounting leadership experience.
Strong GAAP knowledge.
Experience leading month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support.
PreferredManufacturing industry experience.
Inventory and cost accounting expertise.
Prior Assistant Controller or Controller experience.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
CPA preferred but not required.
Immediate PrioritiesMaintain continuity of accounting operations.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end closes.
Support year-end close and audit readiness.
Provide accounting leadership during the leave period.
Partner closely with the CFO on year-end financial reporting and close activities.
