Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Controller to join a well-established company in the Visalia area. This is a confidential search for a hands-on accounting professional who can oversee all aspects of the accounting function while providing accurate financial reporting and supporting company operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing the full accounting cycle independently. Experience in the agricultural or packing house industry is a plus, and experience with NetSuite ERP is preferred. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and cash management. Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close. Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and management reports. Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial records. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Coordinate with external CPAs during year-end financial statement and tax preparation. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies. Support ownership and management by providing timely financial information for decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with Controller or Full-Charge Accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with NetSuite ERP required or strongly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in agriculture, food processing, or the packing house industry is highly desirable. What We're Looking For Strong leadership and communication skills.
