About the Role They are seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations for a high-growth, publicly traded organization with multiple subsidiaries, various business lines, and multiple ERP/GL systems. This role is for a true owner of the accounting function-someone who organizes teams, builds scalable processes, and ensures that monthly close and internal reporting execute consistently and predictably, with the Controller independently managing day-to-day execution while partnering with VP leadership on ad hoc transactions or judgment-intensive items. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly accountable, and thrives in environments where ownership, discipline, and execution are simply core expectations. Beyond day-to-day execution, this role requires the ability to analyze outcomes, detect errors or inconsistencies, solve the problem or propose a solution, and articulate explanations with clarity. This role will report to the VP of Accounting. Essential Functions Take complete ownership of and be fully responsible for the timely month-end close process, including proactively managing timelines, coordinating tasks, and ensuring tasks are performed and reviewed to deliver the highest quality results predictably and without significant oversight or escalation. Manage accounting for multiple entities, including owning the GL, intercompany transactions, revenue/expense recognition, fixed assets, and the full P&L. Develop a deep understanding of the consolidated financials and explain them to executives on at least a quarterly basis. Proactively review data for accuracy and completeness-digging into details, identifying issues, and validating results without needing direction or prompting. Handle consolidation of multiple subsidiaries. Manage accounting for complex transactions and accounting issues. Oversee accounting for and assist with the integration of acquisitions and other types of investments. Lead interactions with external auditors, support audit planning and fieldwork, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based reporting is performed. Actively coordinate with the FP&A team. Work closely with IT and financial systems teams to ensure accounting systems continue to support reliability, reporting needs, and compliance. Maintain effective controls. Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and finance areas. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Comfort handling both day-to-day execution and strategic oversight. Ability to take initiative, define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions independently. Thorough understanding of US GAAP. Strong analytical, research, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to identify potential issues before they become problems. High proficiency with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to effectively manage and develop a team. A desire for ad hoc projects. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting. CPA license. Public accounting experience. Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in public accounting and in the accounting department of a public company.
Compensation and Benefits Competitive Base Salary Range:
