Job Description

Job Title:
Controller Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and analytical skills to drive financial efficiency and support informed decision-making. Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements, key performance metrics, and financial reports. Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs and inventory accounting processes. Manage capital expenditures, capital project accounting, and fixed asset tracking. Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies. Coordinate internal and external audit activities. Collaborate with corporate finance, shared services, and cross-functional teams on business initiatives and special projects. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience supporting manufacturing operations through financial analysis and reporting. Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with a fully integrated ERP system; Oracle experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities. Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a key financial advisor to plant leadership. Work Environment This role is based in an office setting and includes managing a team of two direct reports. The work environment promotes collaboration with cross-functional team members and shared services groups both at the business unit and corporate level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
