+ Discretionary Bonus Why This Opportunity Stands Out Direct line to executive leadership, with your reporting and recommendations shaping company strategy True end-to-end ownership of the finance function — cash, payroll, AP/AR, inventory, and close, not just a piece of it Oversee 5 direct reports and multiple indirect reports, with real influence over team structure and culture Breadth beyond traditional accounting: banking, forecasting, POS/ordering systems, OSHA compliance, and vendor/customer relationships all in one seat Established systems and processes already in place (Sage, Paychex, EDI) — you're optimizing, not building from scratch A stable, well-regarded company in an environmentally-focused industry looking for a long-term partner, not just a placement Open to candidates ready to step up into their first Controller role, as well as seasoned leaders Key Responsibilities Own daily cash management, banking relationships, bank reconciliations, and payables across domestic and international accounts Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory costing in Sage Supervise payroll processing and oversee compliance with payroll tax regulations Oversee 5 direct reports and multiple indirect reports; monitor the POS/ordering system and support on-time shipping and fulfillment Oversee OSHA compliance, annual audit, tax filings, and HR/insurance renewal processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Progressive accounting experience, including supervisory/team leadership Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and advanced Excel; experience with ERP and POS platforms a plus #LI-GW1 #LI-Onsite #INSEP2026
