With a strong market presence and ambitious expansion plans, the company is seeking a seasoned Controller to strengthen its financial leadership and support continued growth. Position Overview The Controller will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations. This role requires a professional who can operate both strategically and tactically—someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves while also contributing to high-level financial planning and decision-making. Key Responsibilities + Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close + Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP + Develop, implement, and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures + Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic guidance + Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning processes + Oversee audit processes and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors + Evaluate and optimize accounting systems and processes to support scalability + Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles + Prior experience in distribution, retail, manufacturing or a related industry + Proven success working in small to mid-sized businesses, with the ability to adapt to evolving structures and processes + Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting + Hands-on mindset with the ability to dive into details while maintaining a strategic perspective + Excellent communication and leadership skills + Experience with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives What Sets This Role Apart + Opportunity to play a pivotal role in a growing organization + High visibility and direct interaction with executive leadership team on a daily basis + A balance of strategic influence and operational involvement + Collaborative, entrepreneurial and relaxed work environment Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
