• $150,000 Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to join a growing, family-owned organization and play a critical leadership role within a $200M+ distribution group.

Highlights High-impact leadership role within a post-merger, $200M+ distribution group Direct partnership with executive owners in a family-held, third-generation business Opportunity to drive finance integration, process improvements, and accounting harmonization during a pivotal transformation Work on-site at a newly rebuilt Meriden headquarters campus Stable, locally owned company with a strong reputation and long-term growth outlook Highly engaged executive team with a collaborative, energetic, and interactive culture "Roll up your sleeves" environment where your ideas and leadership will make a visible impact Operate within a strong, protected franchise-law market Be part of a fun, high-energy industry with strong relationships, including a trusted partnership with their banking team Comprehensive benefits package, including company-paid health coverage for approximately two-thirds of premiums 401(k) plan featuring a 3% Safe Harbor contribution plus a 2% company match Minimum of 2 weeks PTO to start , with plans to expand toward 3+ weeks for higher-level hires Historically flexible and supportive workplace culture Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close Oversee financial statement preparation and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making Drive integration efforts following merger activity, including process alignment and systems improvements Evaluate and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting structures Lead cash management, banking relationships, and financial planning initiatives Manage and develop accounting team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams to support business growth Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement scalable solutions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting operations Experience with process improvement, ERP systems, and financial analysis Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus Why Join?
