Job Description:
A well-established South Florida nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Finance to lead accounting and financial operations. This position will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, compliance, procurement, and day-to-day accounting functions while partnering closely with executive leadership to support organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll oversight, and procurement.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Oversee annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and Board committees.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations.
  • Partner with department leaders on budgeting and financial planning.
  • Support grant reporting, capital projects, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a finance and accounting team. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and financial management.
  • Experience overseeing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems proficiency.
  • CPA preferred.
