Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description KeyStaff is looking for an experienced Controller to join our client's team located in Delray Beach, FL. This is an on-site job, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This role is in the Mental Healthcare Industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors. Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments. Knowledge of GAAP is sufficient to apply the principles to the General Ledger and Financial Statements. Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Manages personnel related to Accounts Receivable, Client Trust, Accounts Payable, and bank reconciliations, ensuring these areas are complete and accurate for the monthly closing process Accountable for payroll, 401k deductions and matching contributions, foundation, mortgage, credit lines, pharmacy, credible (EHR), and inventory reporting. Works with Chief Financial Officer to produce monthly board reports and the dissemination of information to the Auditors for the annual audit. Performs all other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Minimum 5-10 years' experience in accounting/finance Experience with financial reporting requirements and GAAP Working knowledge of accounting software preferably Great Plains and excel. Experience in Budget to Actual analysis with recommendations for financial improvement a must. 5 years of experience in managing an accounting department and hands on experience with the monthly close Budgetary experience working with the CFO is required Experience working with external auditor is a requirement for this position.- SAGE Software Experience is required for this position.
Compensation:
$100,000 - $110,000 per year plus benefits. (BASED
