FUNCTION

Accountable and responsible for the overall performance and operation of the Finance Department including Accounting, Revenue Audit, Purchasing, Count Room and Gaming Cages.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for planning, communicating, and implementing procedures for the overall efficient operation of the department. Responsible for coordinating the accurate preparation and distribution of the property's budget and financial reporting. Monitors and analyzes results of fiscal performance. Assists Vice President and General Manager in approval of expenditures for property. Responsible for maintaining departmental compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and internal controls. Member of property executive management staff. Reviews staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment. Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities. Hires, trains, schedules and evaluates departmental staff. Reviews financial activities with Vice President and General Manager, Directors and Managers as necessary. Responsible for financial reporting to all required Company and external entities. Other duties as assigned.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

Management abilities demonstrated in effectively managing Finance operations. Maintains interpersonal professional working relationships among all personnel. Oral and written communication skills. Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of Finance and the property.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Ten to fifteen years' experience in accounting as a controller or financial manager or officer with a 4-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Graduate degree, MBA with finance management preferred. CPA or other professional accreditation preferred.
