Duties Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation of accounts such as accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of financial data. Utilize in-house financial software such as for data entry, reporting, and analysis. Perform cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial report writing to support organizational planning. Support internal audits by providing detailed documentation and facilitating audit procedures; mentor junior staff on best practices in accounting procedures. Requirements Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and accrual accounting. Proficiency with accounting software including advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel (VLOOKUP function, spreadsheets, data analysis). Knowledge of regulatory compliance accounting standards such as GAAP and securities law is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform detailed financial analysis including forecasting and variance analysis. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to mentor team members effectively. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are preferred but not required.
