This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building processes, leading a small team, and staying close to the day-to-day accounting while having visibility into leadership and strategic decisions. The company is expanding its portfolio and needs a strong accounting leader to elevate processes, improve reporting, and support a growing operation . 3 Keys Real Estate / REIT Experience (property accounting, multi-entity structures) Leadership•experience managing and developing a small team (3 direct reports) Yardi experience Top Objectives Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and properties Lead and mentor a team of 3 (AP, staff/senior accountants, etc.) Own the month-end close process , including consolidations and financial reporting Ensure accurate property-level financials , reconciliations, and variance analysis Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio performance Drive process improvements and scalability as the company continues to grow Why Work Here (Selling Points) High-growth environment with strong leadership and a clear vision Opportunity to build and improve processes•not just maintain Hands-on role with impact•visibility to ownership/executive team Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your input matters

Compensation:

150 and above plus bonus Day-to-Day Responsibilities Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Oversee property accounting and reporting in Yardi Manage close timelines and ensure accuracy across multiple entities Work closely with asset management and operations teams Support audits, tax coordination, and lender reporting as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience , with real estate/REIT exposure Prior Controller or Accounting Manager experience Strong Yardi experience required Solid understanding of GAAP and property accounting CPA preferred At Sanford Rose Associates•JFSPartners, we specialize in Finance & Accounting, Legal, and Information Technology recruitment, dedicated to helping professionals like you discover the perfect career opportunities.
