Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting and financial operations for a business with retail, commercial, manufacturing, and distribution activities in Miami, Florida. This role will oversee the full month-end close process, deliver accurate financial reporting, and support business planning through budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to build consistent financial policies and procedures across a dynamic operating environment.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the complete month-end close process, ensuring timely completion of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial review activities.
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports to support business decisions.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions where needed.
- Monitor cash position, develop cash flow projections, and provide insight into liquidity and working capital performance.
- Establish, document, and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures across finance activities.
- Support accounting operations spanning retail, commercial, manufacturing, and distribution environments while maintaining consistency in reporting.
- Partner with leadership to interpret financial results, identify trends, and provide recommendations that improve performance and efficiency.
- Use organizational systems and financial tools effectively to maintain data accuracy and support reporting requirements.
- Travel internationally as needed to coordinate financial oversight and support business operations across locations.
