Report directly to the COO and serve as the organization's senior Finance leader Oversee a $30M-$50M organizational budget Present financial information and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board Lead and develop a Finance team that includes a Controller and accounting professionals Responsibility across FP&A, budgeting, reporting, treasury, accounting, and compliance Opportunity to improve financial reporting, planning tools, and Finance processes Key Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Director Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting cycles, and long-range financial planning Oversee an organizational budget of approximately $30M-$50M Prepare and present financial reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and analysis to executive leadership and the Board Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational planning and decision-making Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controls Manage cash flow, banking relationships, treasury activities, and organizational investments Partner with department leaders to review financial performance, budgets, and operating results Develop reporting and analysis that improves financial visibility across the organization Identify opportunities to improve budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and Finance processes Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team, including the Controller and accounting staff Support strategic planning and other financial initiatives alongside the COO and executive leadership Qualifications for the Senior Finance Director Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required CPA strongly preferred MBA or advanced degree is a plus 5+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting leadership experience Strong experience with FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Experience managing or overseeing $30M+ organizational budgets Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience strongly preferred Experience overseeing accounting operations, audits, internal controls, and compliance Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and/or Boards Prior experience leading and developing Finance and Accounting professionals Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial leaders Ability to balance strategic Finance leadership with oversight of day-to-day financial operations Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements Benefits & Work/Life Balance 30+ days of PTO annually Employer-paid health insurance Strong retirement contributions Established work/life balance Direct reporting relationship to the COO Established and collaborative Finance team Mission-driven working environment Executive and Board-level interaction #LI-TJ1 #
