This role is great for an Accounting Manager or Sr. Accountant looking to take their next step in their career with a growing company. Job Description Oversee 3 individuals: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources, providing ongoing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster professional development. Lead the month-end close process, including the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, as well as key account reconciliations. Prepare and review journal entries and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Review general ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification of transactions. Monitor budget performance and analyze material variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to monthly forecasting and financial planning activities. Provide ongoing support to the Controller across various accounting functions, special projects, and process improvement initiatives. Develop, document, and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures in alignment with GAAP and company standards. Prepare audit documentation and assist in reviewing work papers to ensure internal and external audit readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams by delivering accurate financial data and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Oversee vendor and customer account reconciliations, resolving complex or escalated issues as needed. Generate internal financial reports and analysis, including sales performance reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget-to-actual variance reports. Requirements Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting required 2-3 years of Supervisory experience. Multi-entity accounting experience within a medium to large company Large ERP system experience required Advanced Excel skills required and familiarity with data queries. Corporate Accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and general accounting principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills & Strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other members in the team.
